Amanda Lewis

My name is Amanda Lewis, I am a member of the Ombersley road Methodist Church in Worcester and I also paint. Over the past year I have had 3 exhibitions at this church the first being Easter, then Harvest and finally Christmas.
When I get ideas for paintings I feel very inspired so I suppose you could say that my work is a product of my faith. I would love to exhibit in Worcester Cathedral.

I was interested in art and fairly good at it from an early age. My art teacher put me in for the 'A' level at the age of 15 which is early and I passed. I studied my foundation art course at Shrewsbury college of arts and technology and obtained my degree from Cheltenham college of arts and technology.

My recent work has been described as embematic. It is simple, geometric and colourful. Mostly I paint in oil but occasionally in goache and I also have made simple mirror mosaics.
